What a curtain wall gives you

Separate work zones
Split a floor into work cells, storage and clean areas without pouring a permanent wall, and move the line again when the work changes.

Noise and dust held back
Put a barrier between grinding, cutting or spraying and the people working next to it, and keep the dust on one side of it.

Up in days, not weeks
Track, mounts and curtain arrive together, and a wall costs around 70% less than building the same partition in steel and stud.
What an industrial curtain wall does
Industrial curtains, sometimes called warehouse divider curtains, create work zones, block sound and keep workers clear of industrial hazards while improving productivity. Warehouse safety is a priority for every business, and a curtain wall is the fastest way to make a floor safer without rebuilding it.
Our premium curtain walls are made to your specific needs and can be designed with on-the-go adjustability in mind. They retract from one side to suit your daily activities and close again quickly to divide warehouse and shop areas. They cost around 70% less than a permanent fixed wall, and installation takes only a few days.
Installation depends on the design and planning of the project. Enclosing a space often takes several curtain walls working together, and our technical team designs and delivers the arrangement that fits your building. Where it helps, our experts can visit the proposed site so the finished wall suits the space exactly.

Everything else you choose
How the wall hangs, what gets built into it, and how people get through it.
Mounting
Sliding hardware
Chain mount
Vertical plates with holes let the track hang from above on chain connected with S-hooks.
Wall mount
Offset plates with slots let the track mount flush against a wall.
Beam mount
C-clamps let the track mount directly to overhead beams.
Ceiling mount
Horizontal plates with holes let the track mount directly to the ceiling.
Threaded rod
90-degree brackets let the track hang from above on 3/8" threaded rod. Rod is not included — source it locally.
Universal mount
Adjustable-height bracket for steelwork that does not suit a fixed mount. Tell us what you are fixing to and we will confirm the fit.
Static hardware

Grommets
Grommeted hems suit a wide range of do-it-yourself hanging methods.
Aluminium angle
Self-tapping Tek screws pinch the curtain against the angle.
Beam clamps
Clamp onto the flange of beams, joists and purlins.
Accessories

Vision panels
Clear panels set into an opaque curtain so you can see through the wall without opening it. Made from the transparent PVC above, in clear or anti-static.

Floor mounted fasteners
Nylon webbing straps anchored to a D-ring floor attachment hold the bottom of the curtain down.

Floor sweep attachment
An 8" strip of flexible PVC fixed to the hem with hook and loop, trimmed on site to follow the slope or contour of your floor.

Valance panels
A valance fills the gap between the track and the ceiling, so the containment carries all the way up.

Wind pockets and panels
Mesh screens that let air pressure bleed through the curtain instead of pushing it around. Useful anywhere there is a fan, a dock door or a draught.

Chain-weighted hem
Chain sewn into the hem keeps the curtain hanging straight, damps movement in wind, and lets the curtain be locked down.
Entry and exit

Hook and loop
Seals the split, joins two curtains, or attaches a curtain to a wall. Welded or sewn on — pressure-sensitive tape is not used, because it does not hold on PVC.

Magnets
Open and close quickly, join two curtains, and fasten to adjacent steel walls and beams. Best in dirty areas, where grit clogs hook and loop.

Strip curtain door
Keeps traffic flowing without opening the curtain, and limits air transfer because the full height never opens. Sewn into the curtain or hung in a rigid frame.

Roll-up door
On a rigid free-standing frame, chain operated or motor driven. Suits openings that stay open or shut for long stretches.

Swinging impact door
A free-standing swinging door. Heavy duty enough for carts, fork trucks and constant foot traffic.
Before you commit
The questions that actually stall a curtain wall order, answered plainly. If yours is not here, call and ask.
Installing it
Can we install this ourselves?
Most customers do. A straight, unobstructed run is more approachable than it looks, and written directions ship with the order, including for track that rolls side to side. On a large system or an awkward ceiling, we can put you in touch with an installer instead.
Do you supply the fasteners?
No. The track arrives as raw galvanized steel and needs no painting, but the screws or bolts that fix it to your structure depend entirely on what you are fixing to, so those are best sourced locally.
How far apart do the track supports go?
Roughly every five feet. The further apart they sit, the more the track deflects under load.
Getting the size right
What if the curtain comes up short?
Three ways to close the gap: hang drop chains between the roller hooks and the curtain grommets, add a floor sweep, which can be fitted here or in the field, or lower the whole track using threaded rod or cable supports.
What if it ends up too long?
Cut the bottom off with a utility knife. Our vinyl curtains are built to be field cut, and doing it does not affect the warranty or how the curtain performs. If you would rather we did it, send it back under a return authorization and we will quote the modification.
Does the track eat into my opening height?
Yes, about three inches. We take it off the curtain height when we quote so the finished wall hangs where you expect it to, and we call it out on the quote so there is no surprise.
Materials and care
How do we clean them?
Vinyl is slick and washes down easily. Simple Green will not harm PVC, though it is worth testing a small area first. Canvas and fabric curtains have different requirements, so ask before cleaning one of those.
What if one gets cut or torn?
We do not sell patch kits, but Tear-Aid Type B is made for vinyl and holds up well. The heavier coated vinyls are reinforced with a polyester scrim, so a cut in one rarely runs.
What do mil and oz actually mean?
Mil is thickness: one mil is a thousandth of an inch. Oz is what a square yard of the material weighs. As a rule, thicker and heavier means a tougher curtain and a longer service life.
Are these OSHA approved?
OSHA does not approve products. It sets out the precautions a workplace should take and leaves it to you to decide what protects your people. Tell us the hazard you are separating and we will tell you what we would build for it.
Not sure which of these applies to your opening? Send us the dimensions and we will tell you.
Have something specific in mind?
We manufacture custom fabric wall designs around your facility. Send us the opening, the traffic and what you are trying to separate, and we will come back with a build and a price.
After hours Leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Got questions?
Ask us anything about your opening and we will come back to you. No dimensions needed.
